Firstly, this trip was not an Enduro, but it was a very well organised and good weeks riding both on and off motorcycle adventure.

Run by Steve and Walter it included everything that we needed, good clean accommodation, well maintained Honda CRF 250’s and best of all a great local guide who went out of his way to look after everything for us.

It is based just north of Chiang Mai in northern Thailand and involves staying two nights at Walters base and then four nights in hotels whilst doing a northerly route up to the Myanmar border.

We were a group of four of us, three from UK and one from Canada. We have been on a number of off and on road trips before in different locations.

The first three days were more road focussed and then the last three off road. All the riding was on fabulous roads and tracks in the mountains with amazing scenery.

Our guide was Lem who is local and knew every road and track without needing a map or GPS.

Having him with us made the trip so much easier and more fun. He knew all the best places to ride and eat and even changed some of the routes to please us.

The CRF’s were ideal for this type of going and were in good mechanical condition and gave us not problems at all.

If you are looking to do some hard enduro riding then this is not for you, but if you want 7 days of great riding in a beautiful country with no hassles and enjoying yourselves then this is for you.
